Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Draft & Check, an email verification service operated by SovereignShield BV, Nieuwpoortsesteenweg 162, 8400 Oostende, Belgium, enterprise no. 1038.469.726, VAT BE 1038.469.726 (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the API, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

Draft & Check checks whether an email address is likely to be deliverable using syntax analysis, DNS/MX lookups, disposable- and role-address detection, and, where permitted, an SMTP mailbox check. The service returns a status (deliverable, risky, undeliverable, or unknown) and a confidence score.

2. Best-effort results, no guarantee

We are not responsible for bounces, blocklisting, sender-reputation issues, campaign outcomes, or any decision you make based on our results.

3. Accounts

• You must provide a valid email address and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account and API key.
• You must confirm your email address to activate your API key.
• If your key is compromised, regenerate it from your dashboard; the previous key stops working immediately.

4. Credits and payment

• The service is pay-as-you-go. 1 credit = 1 verification. Credits are purchased in packs and do not expire.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown in USD and exclude any applicable taxes.
• Credits already consumed are non-refundable. Unused, unconsumed credits may be refunded at our discretion within 14 days of purchase on written request. Free trial credits have no cash value.
• We may change prices for future purchases; credits you already hold are unaffected.

5. Acceptable use

You agree that you will:

• only submit email addresses that you have a lawful basis to process, and comply with GDPR, ePrivacy, and all applicable laws in your use of the results;
• not use the service to send spam, harass, or facilitate unlawful, deceptive, or abusive activity;
• not attempt to overload, reverse-engineer, resell, or circumvent the rate limits or security of the service.

You are solely responsible for the email addresses you submit and for how you use the results. You warrant that you are entitled to process those addresses.

6. Data processing

Email addresses you submit for verification are processed transiently to produce a result and are not stored, logged in full, or sold; we retain only aggregate counts for billing. In respect of those addresses, you are the data controller and we act as your processor. Our Privacy Policy explains this in detail, and a data processing agreement is available on request.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Belgian law.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used unlawfully or abusively. You may stop using the service at any time.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date and, where appropriate, notified by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Belgium, and the courts of Belgium have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have.
